Door Knock Day
You know that joke - knock, knock, who’s there? Today, that line took on new meaning for all of us when Brown family got the shout out from Ty Pennington and his design team outside their front door. We are anxious to get started on this once -in-a-lifetime project. Over the next week, we will work side by side with thousands of new and old friends to build this extreme dream house.
Please come out and see first hand all the generous sponsors and tradespeople who will work day and night to make sure we give this deserving family a second chance to call 285 Hollister Avenue home. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us get to this point! So before we go and get started on the construction - a big thank you - to our own family who believe in us and have supported us all the way!

... and finally, I get to discover what secret project has kept my neighbor working 24 hours a day lately. Mike has been emotional and driven-- and now I see why. I am so thrilled to see Mike and Steve's home building expertise go toward something so extrordinarily meaningful and important. I am a long-time fan of the show, and cannot believe this is happening so close by! Moreover, I am proud to call Mike and Steve Gulick and their families (who have handed away husbands and fathers for weeks to allow them time to prepare for this) my friends. As the owner of a Gulick home, I can promise the Brown family they are in for a treat!

Being an extreme fan of the show, I was astounded to know they were here at home. I have lived here all my life and wondered when when things like this would happen for someone in our city. I dont know how to express the excitement i have that his is happening and I will be there daily to see the progress for this wonderful family. Of course, thanking God for wonderful people like you guys, all the volunteers and the Extreme Makover Designers.
Again, thank you for making the Brown Family the choice for this makover and although I never knew them, I know they are well deserving of such a Blessing. All in All, just THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!
These are times I wish I knew a trade that would serve as a contribution but I will be seeking another way to do so!

As a builder, it usually takes me about 6 months to build a home, as a regular viewer of EMHE it always amazes me how they do that so quickly. When I was given the oportunity to be involved as a volunteer, to get to work with all these kind hearted people, and to help out a family that is deserving of this, to me promises to be a truly heartwarming, meaningful, and memorable week.
